Under the “Time to win” motto, the Fincibec Group celebrated the winners of the second edition of the award designed to investigate the creative use of ceramics in architecture. With a magical evening event, a show of lights, sounds, colours, flavours, art and dance expertly blended in the charming scenario of the Palazzo dell’Archiginnasio of Bologna, Fincibec welcomed and entertained a large audience of guests from all over the world, in Italy for the concurrent opening of the Cersaie.
The creators of the five winning projects of the second edition of the Quinquennial Tile Award were officially awarded and presented to the audience on a stage specially set up in the hall called Stabat Mater. A place featuring an inimitable atmosphere characterised by the history that pervades it, that of the oldest university in Europe. Guests were also given the opportunity to go on a guided tour of the 17th-century Anatomical Theatre.
The location was not chosen at random because Fincibec recently funded the restoration part of the decorations of the Palace, in particular, of the XXII arch frescoes of the upper arcade. These works represent the possibility for future generations to fully benefit of the beauty of this masterpiece of art and architecture.
